Hello! Here are a few updates and reminders:

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, the members of Zeitgeist Literary Magazine, as well as members of Elipsis, had the opportunity to attend the premiere of Love, Simon. It was a wonderful experience, and the movie’s powerful, heart-warming message about self-acceptance and growth was successfully transmitted by an incredible cast and story.

Please remember to submit your work, if you haven’t yet, to either mvega@perpetuoangels.org or alejandraquintana2942@gmail.com. Thanks!

Book Drive Activity

This past Sunday, February 11, 2018, members of the Zeitgeist Literary Magazine club visited Hogar Rafaela Ybarra to personally donate the books we had collected for the Book Drive (which began last semester). We had the opportunity to share our passion for literature, writing, and the arts (interests we have cultivated since childhood) with the girls at Hogar. It was an enriching experience; we spent time reading, reciting poems, and getting to know their stories and interests. One of them shared her beautiful poetry with us and appreciated our devotion to literature. We also brought pastries, provisions, Valentine’s Day chocolates, and school supplies to share with all of them. We are very eager to visit Hogar again, have another wonderful activity, and keep promoting literacy and inspiring hope among extraordinary young girls.

Upcoming Activities

Valentine's Day Poems (2)

This Sunday, February 11, 2018, the members of Zeitgeist Literary Magazine will donate, personally, the collected books from the Book Drive to Hogar Rafaela Ybarra and read excerpts from our first issue; promoting literacy and spreading kindness are just two of the amazing outcomes of this special activity.

Next Wednesday, February 14, 2018, given the occasion, members of Zeitgeist Literary Magazine will recite love poems during the Home Room period to begin this holiday with a beautiful ode to love and friendship. Also, some members will recite their poems during recess @ the DLC. Hope to see you at Lovely Rhymes!
